The PPA is proud to open registration for our 2017 Conference which will take place Oct. 13-15 in Scottsdale, AZ.

The PPA has a block of rooms reserved and we suggest calling soon to make sure you have a room!

There will be paramedics on duty in the meeting room with us for the duration of the conference but ONLY during conference hours. All people attending the conference are responsible for their own medical care and should have an able bodied person with them in case they need to be transported to the hospital. The PPA will not provide assistance to the hospital, if this happens you will be in the hands of the paramedics who will have been briefed about periodic paralysis.

On Saturday there will be a buffet lunch for all attendees with a wide variety of choices. If you are on a very strict diet we ask that you plan on bringing this type of food and snacks with you to the conference. There will be water available in the conference room at all times but no snacks will be served due to the nature of food allergens and special diets.

Please DO NOT bring peanuts or peanut products into the room!

All rooms in the hotel are suites with a small kitchenette. This may help you with snacks and special diets.

If you have trouble walking long distances or feel you will need a wheelchair please bring one with you or rent one in Scottsdale.  The PPA will not be providing this service.

There may be guests attending with service animals. These dogs are extremely well behaved and follow commands. We ask that people with service dogs try to sit in one section of the meeting room so if others are allergic they will not be affected.

Our meeting room has windows for natural light. Pillows and blankets will be available for those who need them. The room temperature will be held at 75 degrees and you should plan accordingly if heat or cold affect you.

Please remember to bring all medications and if possible a written list of instructions for medical care if you are unable to speak.

 

 

Explanation of Registration

When you register for the conference you must follow these guidelines or your registration will not be processed.

  1. EVERY family member must register on the registration form. Please list all family members attending so we can make nametags and order meals.
  2. The conference is FREE in 2017 due to a generous contribution from Strongbridge BiopharmaTM. Attendees will not he charged any registration fee but must register!
  3. When registration is complete you will receive a confirmation via email.
  4. It is necessary to register – we must know how many meals to order!
  5. Your hotel room MUST be booked separately through the hotel.
  6. Registration will close Oct. 12, 2017
